Biosolids Focus of ADEQ’s Putting Green to Work Lunch

The August 29th Putting Green to Work lunch hosted by the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) will showcase a popular program to reuse biosolids generated by Fayetteville’s wastewater treatment plant. The program, developed by the City of Fayetteville and the CH2M HILL engineering firm, significantly reduced operating expenses and the need to landfill biosolids generated by the city’s wastewater treatment plant. According to the ADEQ, the efforts also produced high-quality fertilizer products utilized by agricultural operations in northwest Arkansas.
