6/24/13: AR River Valley Audubon Society Monthly Meeting

Join the Arkansas River Valley Audubon Society for its monthly meeting, tonight at 7 p.m. at Lake Dardanelle State Park Visitor Center (100 State Park Drive) in Russellville. Sarah Thompson, wildlife biologist with the U. S. Forest Service-OUachita National Forest, will give a presentation titled “Arkansas: The Bear State.” Thompson received her Master’s degree in Environmental Science from the Arkansas State University where she studied Arkansas’s Bewick’s Wrens for her thesis. Delta Green Community Forum Explores Green Jobs & Renewable Energy

The Delta Green Community Forum is an effort by the Delta Citizens Alliance (DCA) and partners to continue and expand upon the network-building efforts that began with the 1st and 2nd Delta Green expos. City of Little Rock to Host Free Recycling Camp for Kids

The City of Little Rock will host a free camp for kids ages 8 to 11 on recycling. The camp will feature hands-on activities, games and crafts, and tours of the Landfill and the recycling center. The camp will be held Tuesday-Thursday, June 25-27 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. each morning. The camp is limited to 15 kids, so apply soon.
